I manage IT for a company where i'm trying to provide web access to an application running on a nonstandard port for a user who has a verizon blackberry.
In researching this issue i found other people who stated that verizon blocks web access to nonstandard ports.
i.e. i can't have a web app hosted at https://some.domain.com:8181
in an environment where the standard ports are already being used by other services.
Does anyone know if that is the case?
I am able to pull the page up on a phone on another carrier so it seems it may be something within verizon's network that's causing the problem.
