Bluetooth Issue with Tour

The Blackberry Tour evidently has a software issue with bluetooth.  When the I use the bluetooth in my car, it is very hard for people to hear me.  It sounds like you are standing far away from the microphone.  When I use my Jawbone bluetooth, there is not as much of a problem as the car bluetooth. This was never an issue with any of the previous Blackberrys that I have owned.  I had Verizon verify the problem and they then connected me to Blackberry.  When I was finally connected to a senior Blackberry rep, they admitted that there is a software problem with the Tour and they were working on resolving it.  There is no estimated time to resolve the problem.

Hey,

I believe this will be fixed with the next software OS release.  We will see.

That is basically what they told me at RIM.  Any idea when the next software OS might be coming out?  They wouldn't give me a time estimate.

A software update was recently availble through Desktop Manager for the Tour, however I think RIM jumped the gun on it a little bit or made a mistake because it was quickly pulled. Also, VZW never offically released it themselves as it was not availble through the normal www.vzam.net link. A lot of people reported problems installing the update, so there's probably a few bugs to work out.

Who knows how long that could take, but the fact that something was released, even if it was by mistake, means they're actively working on it so should see something pretty soon here. Hopefully within the next 30 days or less.

Heads up on the Tour and software. I have a Bluetooth device that connect the tour to my hearing aids. The software upgrade from 40 to 61 caused the Bluetooth to lose connection randomly. I downgraded to the .40 and it works again.
