just received a replacement blackery bold 9650 and the texting is not working. Any ideas

Hello JP1245, I would love to assist with your text messaging, but I'll need a few details if still having this issue. Are you having problems with sending or receiving text messages? Is the phone completely active and able to make and receive calls? If not, dial *228 send option 1 and follow the prompts. If the phone is active try removing the battery for a few seconds with the phone still on, then re-insert. If still having issues, is this only with certain people?
