I moved apps around the screen so the ones I use most are together and the ones I don't use at all are in a new folder I don't have to look at. Is there a way to "save" this ordering in case something goes wrong? (Other than backup and restore, which I will try) It is sort of my own "theme" but I don't see a way to save it as a theme.
I learned the hard way (when trying to restore default wallpaper instead of a photo) that resetting a theme to undo something puts you to default and loses all the work I did above.

Iunderstandthe convenience of wanting to save your customized theme on your blackberry. With this device there is not an option that you can use that will allow you to store the theme in case something happens to your phone.

Hi,
The best thing you can do is as you suggested, backing up your device with Blackberry Desktop Manager. If you want to create your own theme, you can do so with Blackberry Theme Studio, available as a download from RIM. With the Theme Studio, you can create your own custom themes and arrange icons or settings to your liking. For more details, go to Blackberry's web site and click on the developers tab at the top.

I'll do the backup, of course. And I'll look into the theme studio when I have time. Thanks to both of the people who took time to reply.
