Can a BlackBerry 9630 be unlocked?  It was purchased several years ago.

It appears to be a global ready device. http://www.phonearena.com/phones/BlackBerry-Tour-9630_id2894 You will need to have it active on a current Verizon Wireless account to request the SIM unlock from VZW.

I had a Blackberry tour (9630) a while back. still works like a champ . You do have to have active VZW service and be authorized on the account to make changes. When you call into customer service ask for the global support team. That department has the unlock codes you'll need.
