i seem to get no help with this issue and this is my last resort before calling or going into verizon..which i dont want to over something so silly to most people...I have stopped receiving facebook alerts on my blackberry..i use to get emails to but that has stopped as well..i've done battery pulls i've uninstalled and reinstalled FB..more battery pulls..this is nuts...i've signed up for the alerts on sms...which i hate...you cant read half the messages and when it tells you to reply with "n" to get the last bit..i never do...and i never get all my alerts...i get online and i've been messaged 20 times and i never got any of it on my phone...

 

pleaseeeee help!

Hi,

What type of Blackberry do you have and what version of Facebook Mobile do you have?  The version of FB will be listed in Options>Advanced Options>Applications.  You will see the version next to Facebook in the list of apps on your device.

well i read somewhere on updating..i was on i guess whatever update it was before the 5.0 one...cause i plugged it in and desktop manager wanted me to update to 5.0 which i thought and understood it was the updater for the manager not the storm..so i spent all the time updating..and now i'm waiting for an alert..i love it so far..lets hope that was the reason why i wasnt receiving alerts...

Ok, I take it from your post you have a Storm and you updated your device to the latest firmware.  I also gather from your last post your device seems to be working.  Good, I'm glad you got it working.

Are you sure you waited until it completely finished updating? If so pull battery and wait 5 minutes and then try again to see if it works? Report back. Did you back it up before the update.

Call CS at 800-922-0204 from another phone other than your BB phone, then answer prompts, then ask for BB Tech support. They will be able to help you.

Have you tried to uninstall facebook and reinstall? After 11/9 there was an update to facebook that should have resolved your issue.

i've deleted it and reinstalled...i was told to call verizon..i did and they said there is nothing wrong from what they see and to contact facebook..but they dont really make that an option ...which is very odd...so i'm deleting FB once again..and reinstalling it and hope that it works..i dont know what to do..no ones really giving me an answer to how to fix this...(not meaning here) but it would be nice if verizon or facebook would do something..it makes no sense that i'm not getting alerts..
