I currently have the blackberry bold and I absolutely love it. The other day I went with my brother to get a new phone and discovered that when I purchased the blackberry the technician upgraded my data plan to the corporate email plan without my knowledge, this was about 6-7 months ago. I was never asked if this was what I wanted but now with Verizon changing their data plans it looks like I have to keep it. After the "blackberry blackout" and recent stories on the news I am thinking of switching to the iphone
just curious if anyone knows if I can transfer the "corporate plan" to the iphone or if I have to keep a blackberry in order to keep an unlimited data plan.
Hello kim1216,
I would be glad to answer your questions regarding unlimited data on your line. If you have unlimited corporate email and would like to switch just to unlimited data feel free to reach out to me. You can send me a PM and I can review your account. If you upgrade from your Blackberry to the iPhone you can definitely keep your unlimited data plan since you are grandfathered in. I trust you'll find this information helpful. Have a great day!
I have a blackberry with Unlimited Data (w/ Corp Email) for blackberries. I also wasn't told when I got the blackberry that I have the data plan with corp email. I was interested in upgrade to one of the newer 4G HTC Rezound smartphones, and when I called employee accounts I was told I would lose my unlimited data plan which is already grandfathered in as I have the unlimited data w/corp email. This is the first time I learned I had the Corp email. if I were to change to regular email with unlimited Data plan. My colleagues tell me what you are saying above that I can upgrade to any phone and not lose my grandfathered unlimited data plan. Can someone help me with this please?
I don't have an answer to your situation but want to throw my issue on the pile! I have a BB curve with corporate email (Blackberry Enterprise). Two weeks ago it just dropped the email! I got a new activation code from IT but BB said it could not connect to server even though I received email on my computer showing that RIM had pinged our corporate network. Verizon cannot help???!!! IT says they cannot help. Now I have a BB, paying corporate data plan rates and no email!
I would try this - delete your email account from the phone entirely, and then reboot the BB (remove the battery or use Quickpull). then add the email account back in - something may have been corrupted somewhere so deleting and re-adding the email account may allow it reconnect to the Enterprise server again.
Post back with the results and we can troubleshoot further if necessary.
Corporate Verizon store attempted to delete/reinstall but was denied
access. Very frustrating.
