Discount for storm owner when storm 2 arrive????

Hey guys,

Just wanted to find out if anyone has any information about discounts for current storm and blackberry owners who are looking to make the switch to the storm 2. I am aware that apple did this when the Iphone 3GS came out so i'm wondering whether RIM and/or verizon are looking to do the same.......

I too am very interested in knowing the answer to this.  I understand that new technology emerges at a fast pace, however, I feel that the Storm was rushed to market with some serious issues that have still never been resolved by official software updates.  I know that there are other official OS versions from RIM that have improved some of these issues, but the three versions that are supported by Verizon have been lackluster (at best).

So, that turned into a rant.  Ooops.  Let's just hope that Verizon does the right thing here to keep their customers happy.

I'm leaning toward this as well unless in an extreme case such as you bought the phone last week and now the new one is out, but I doubt even then they would help you out.  Try to remember that VZW is just a 3rd party retailer for RIM so if any discount was given or some exchange program offered, it would have to be through RIM, not VZW.  Apple makes the iPhone (which is their only phone) so it's in their best interest to make sure customers stay happy by allowing them to upgrade with ease so they don't run somewhere else.
