Does Verizon intend to dump CDMA?

I've read on various internet sources that Verizon had intended to dump their CDMA network and convert over to VoLTE.  Is this accurate?  If so, what is the time frame for this project?  The sources that I found that spoke about it said this was supposed to happen in 2014.

It will be phased out actually.

Already Verizon is starting to taking frequencies from the data 3G (EVDO) and give it to LTE

Soon, you will buy phones that only have LTE and no CDMA 3G

Then EVDO will be completely phased out, probably 2018 or so.

Verizon has stated it plans to sunset and turn off CDMA in 2021.

2014 when it starts not when it's finished. They still have transitioning to do and get people on to LTE devices to complete it.

In my local area Verizon had tower sub-contractors busy this past year installing new Panel Antenna's and Transceiver's. Most of the gear is in-active at this point or in a testing mode only. However some of the new equipment I was told by techs is to be used in early 2015 as part of the change over to X-LTE. CDMA  however is slowly being farm over but not out yet and will take a long period of time.
