Email problem with BB 8330

I have a Blackberry 8330 with the following problem: 

Incoming email messages go to the Messages folder instead of the Email folder which means i get no audible notification of my email receipt.  This problem seemed to start after I had upgraded the Blackberry Apps World  Update.  I checked with several local Verizon stores without any real help.  Anyone have any ideas??

You can try set a hot key to search adjusted the default 'Incoming' search to look only in my BES account.
In the messages section press Menu button > Search > Menu button again> Recall to lookup and edit default searches or New to make a new one. In the Services field select only your BES account. Remember to set a hot key when you save it. You can access the information by clicking on this link
