I am trying to setup visual voicemail and download is successful but then the activation process is not working. Once I enter my password and say yes to start provisioning, it comes back saying "Connection Timed Out." What can I do to fix this? I know that I have plenty of coverage so that cannot be the issue. Somebody please HELP! Thanks!

What I recommend doing is Uninstalling the application. Once it is uninstalled, do a battery pull: Power the device off>Remove the battery>Let the device sit for 10 seconds>Replace the battery>Power the device back on. Once the device is powered back on, reinstall the application and proceed to activation.

Why pay for this? When you get YouMail Visual Voicemail Plus it's totally free. I have been using it for almost two years on my Storm 1 & 2 with no problems. You can get it in BB App World.

I am having this same problem!
I also removed the APP, removed battery, and re-installed, still no go.
I have spent all day trying different solutions to somehow save/record my voicemail messages why is this such an impossible task?
You can not record phone calls so you can't make a voice note of your messages and most "services" simmilar will only allow you to transfer messages received after set up and not ones currently saved on your verizon voicemail.
I may or may not be able to live without the messages my brother left for me when he was in Iraq, but the fact that something that should be fairly simple is nearly impossible to accomplish is beyond frustrating!

Hi, all,
I am sorry you all are having problems activating VVM. Just wondering, did you call Customer Service at *611 from your device to tell them to activate the feature on your device? It will not work until it is activated by CS, despite being able to activate the service from within the application itself. Call CS and see if the feature is on your account.

I followed what Doc said at the end and he/she was right! You have to call and have them activate it on your phone for $2.99 a month and then you do *228 when they finish that. Once you update your phone it worked with no problems!
I had 2 days of time out errors until I read this area!
Thanks for asking..........

Hi,
Glad you got it working. It is the simple things we overlook, in this case activation. Perhaps that is all the others need to do to get their app working right.
By the way, I am a he...100%. LOL just for future reference. Thanks for using the Verizon forums.
