Have others been having over heating issues?

My wife's phone gets really hot when running a game or 2. She had the same games on a S4 and never had an issue. Once it said the temp was 170° F. It's suppose to be at 95 for normal condtions. Have read a bunch online and tried different things. But nothing seems to fix the problem permanently. We have been customers for 15+ years and we are very dissapointed. Will the new updates (If the come) fix this problem? Or is the phone like the Note 7 and going to catch my house on fire?
