I have a blackberry storm and it quit working so I had to get a new one through my insurance. On the old phone my contacts apparently were not saved to the SIM card. The old phone will not power on it just blinks red and that's it. Does anyone now a way to get my contacts off this phone?
Hi,
Connect your old phone via the included USB cable to a computer and try to get them with Blackberry Desktop Manager. The BDM may not recognize the PIN number or device connected, but go through the process of backing up the device just to see if it gets the information.

Verizon phones do not use the SIM card for storing contact information. In fact, you can take the SIM card out of the Storm or Tour if you are not planning to go overseas. It is only needed for accessing networks abroad. Even then, a user must store the contact information one by one onto the SIM card.
Let us know here in the forums if you were able to backup the device.
