How can I transfer my contacts from my old phone to my new phone?

I registered my phone before backing up my contacts on Backup Assistance, now can not get y old numbers, it shows as blank.

Is there any way to still do it, or will I have to a) manually type them in, one by one or got to a Verizon store and have them transfer my contacts for a fee?

Is there a way I can save my contacts to my Sim card or to my media card?I have the first Blackberry Storm.

Thanks

To transfer your contacts from the Storm to your new phone:

You attach each phone to your computer with separate cables at the same time and use Device Switch Wizard with Desktop Manager and it will transfer whatever you need switched over from email to contacts and even programs(if compatible).

Log in to your Verizon account online. Go to Backup Assistant and look to see if your numbers are in the deleted tab. If they are simply check all and restore. Same thing happened to me and luckily I was able to get everything back. Good luck!

Here is some additional information on transferring your contacts to your new device.

Step. 1 – You can use Backup Assistant (Article below)

Step. 2 – You can export a .CSV from the Backup Assistant website, and transfer the information using an Information Manager.

http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=27566 (to get the .CSV from the Backup Assistant website)

The additional steps after you have the .CSV is below:

Step A.

Download the Desktop Manager.

Step B.

Syncing with Personal Information Managers –

  • For corporate, contacts will be synchronized over-the-air via BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
  • For personal, the device must be synchronized with a computer.

Macintosh

I hope this information was helpful.
