Up until last Friday, sending an email to 503xxxxxxx@vzwpix.com was working fine. It would arrive on the phone as a text (MMS) message almost immediately. Sometime between Thursday and Friday I noticed that it stopped working. I don't get any kind of delivery failure message in my email, but the messages just never get to the phone. It's a Blackberry 9650 if that makes any difference.
I can send text messages directly to and from other phones. It's just the email to vzwpix.com that's not working.

The problem ended up being that the phone lost data connectivity. I was given several links by a Verizon "live chat" tech that were supposed to walk me through deleting some setup configuration files and then re-create them, but the steps shown in the links did not come anywhere close to matching the options that were on my screen. I ended up just doing a "reset to factory default" (whatever Blackberry calls that). That fixed the data connectivity issue, but I lost access to the @vzw.blackberry.net email that was set up on the phone originally. I spent a couple hours with support trying to figure that out as well. Apparently, Blackberry recently took away Verizon's ability to reset passwords on those email accounts, so I had to just create a new email address for the phone and change all references to it in our corporate email system.
It's working again, but it's no surprise why Blackberry has essentially 0% market share now.
Hi there, Bruce_Herb! I regret that you haven't been getting pictures sent to your mobile number via VZWPix.com. It's very odd. I've just tried it myself by sending an image from my work email to my number (81XXXXXXXX@vzwpix.com), but it works great. I'm curious about the image being sent. Are they of high quality? Also, do you get MMS when sent to your mobile number as an MMS?
