I deleted an email account but the folder still shows on my home screen

I deleted an email account but the folder still shows on my home screen.  It will not let me delete it.  The email account is no longer showing on the Email Account Management screen so it should be deleted from my phone.  I tried removing the battery but this did not help.

jhudson1, We know the importance of ensuring your phone is set up to your preference! I want to help. I've included the steps to remove folders from your model device:
On the Home screen, click the Messages icon.
Press the Image of the Menu key key > View Folder.
Highlight a folder.
Press the Menu key.

    To add a folder, click Add Folder.
    To move a folder, click Move Folder. Click the new location.
    To rename a folder, click Rename Folder.
    To delete a folder, click Delete Folder.
