I have a blackberry curve 8330 and will be traveling to Australia/New Zealand next year. Will my phone work overseas, will texting work overseas?
If not, what do I need to do in order to be able to at least text from overseas?
Thanks,

Hi,
The 8330 Curve will not operate on cellular systems overseas. The only Blackberry devices that will do as such are the Tour, Storm, and Storm2.

Don't forget the World Edition 8830 (no camera - sigh).

The 8830 is dual-band only (900Mhz, 1800Mhz) and will work mostly in europe, asia. I looked up australia and new zealand and it will work in both of those countries but no 3G. So to safe the trouble get the ones that StreetDocRN mentioned and you will have a quad-band GSM with 3G frequencies for europe and asia.
