Internet Connection using Cell Phone

I just recently got a new BB 9330.  I use my phone as a modem to connect to the internet.  I am now having problems connecting to the internet using my new phone.  I order VZ access mgr for my new phone and is still having problems.  I get a message saying that my phone is not detected or found.  Can anyone help?
