Memory leak on Blackberry 9530

If I pull the battery and restart I have as much as 32 MB of memory.  At the end of the week reading ebooks, email and web access I can have as little as 12 MB.  Pull the battery & restart back to 30+ MB.  As bad as windows mobile.  How to prevent but still use the device?

I have the same phone and I have the following cleaning routines I do several times a day. Push Internet Globe Icon, then then push BB Menu button, then scroll down to Options which is my first option under History, push Options, then scroll down to Cache Operations, push it.

Now starting at the bottom with Cookie Cache, push each Cache in there until all have been pushed and cleared. Now push the reverse button next to the red phone button and it will clean your phone. No need to reboot. Now push Options again, scroll down to Security Options, push it, then Advanced Security Options then scroll down to Memory Cleaning, now go to Registered Cleaners and push each one to clear. There should be an option in there to give you a Home Page cleaner Icon. Push it and you will be able to access this cleaner from your home page. I have mine positioned right under my Options Icon for ease of cleaning.  I still have to pull bat. at least once a day so I added the Free App Quick Pull.

Which OS are you using?  I highly recommend installing the latest .591 combined with lyricidal's latest hybrid.  I did this prior to upgrading to Storm 2 and had very little if any memory leak, better battery life, and much more stable performance all the way around. If you don't want to mess with a hybrid just install the .591 OS.  It alone is much better than VZW official.
