Message Indicator, but No Message!

I have a Blackberry 8530 smartphone.  My message indicator is on, but there is no new message!  It's been like that for probably a week or so now, and it won't go away even when I delete everything from the folder.  It seems it started doing it after the last time I updated.  If it helps, the current version I have is v5.0.0.973 (Bundle 1596, Platform 4.2.0.422).  It's really quite irritating so any help would be greatly appreciate.  Thank you!

Hi,

Try a battery pull and leave it out for about a minute.  Then put the battery back in and see if it disappears after it starts back up.

Thank you.  I tried that several times to no avail.  However, shortly after submitting my help request here, I discovered that I had somehow saved an unopened message.  That was the culprit, not the phone or the update.  I appreciate your help, though :smileyhappy:
