I have a BlackBerry Priv. My system is unable to update to the latest OS. What is recommend to resolve this?

Is it running Android OS? Did you go to Settings | About | System Updates | Check for System Updates? Does it find an update for the device?
- Open Settings > Apps > All
- Locate Google Services Framework
- Click Clear Cache
- Click Clear Data
- Click Force Stop
- Restart the PRIV
- Check for the update again by navigating to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > CHECK FOR UPDATE

So what if after doing all of that it says that there are no more updates, but when I go to hook it up to my computer it says I need to update to the newest version in order to be able to properly receive texts via the laptop connection?
