My Z10 will not boot up and needs a reinstall of the OS, but Verizon cannot help and I still get charged over $100/mo! Almost $500 will be spent for no service at all.
Do you not have BB warranty left or Verizon extended warranty? If not, then there is no cheap way to repair it without sending back to BB.

The good news is that you don't need Verizon (or any carrier) to get the latest update. BlackBerry handheld software is carrier-agnostic, meaning you can load the software from any carrier onto your device. The crackberry forums are loaded with step-by-step tutorials and download links.

No offense but time for a new phone. This thread is 39 months old. So the phone is what 4 or 5 years old?
