According to my email provider, configuring the device through the Blackberry website and forwarding the blackberry address to the new email account is muhc faster. I have never had a problem getting my emails when just configuring the device. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Much faster than what? I'm confused about what you are trying to accomplish here. On the device, you can set up your BB email account, as well as other email accounts.

Maybe they meant your BB ID log on? http://us.blackberry.com/bbid.html Any online configuring you are able to do is either through your BB ID or Desktop Manager . . . which is linked to your ID. As is your Blackberry email acct.
What exactly are you trying to do?
Hi MikeMM! SuzyQ had a few good questions because configuring your email should be just as easy going through your device or through Blackberry's Internet Service (BIS) website at https://vzw.blackberry.com.
Here's how to configure the email through the website if you've already created a BIS login: http://bit.ly/P8jRec
If you don't have a BIS login, then these steps will help: http://bit.ly/TtZLq6
You can also set up email accounts through your phone by following these steps: http://bit.ly/RzIood
I hope you're enjoying your Blackberry. Keep me posted if you need more help with that Blackberry email.
