Need help with BB 9530

I've had my storm one for a year. For a month I've had to do about 5 battery pulls a day (average) due to freezing and unresponsiveness. It started as not being able to text because in landscape view it would recognize only the W, S, and X keys on the keyboard, no matter where you touch. This was solved by the battery pull. However two days ago I did the normal pull only to have it not start again. It finally started up today and I was able to make calls so I called a verizon tech. He instructed me to do the wipe. I wiped it. Now it mostly starts to the right light, then as soon as the BB loading screen should start it shuts back down only to repeat the cycle again. However, it does sometimes get past the red light, and gets to the clock. But......never gets past the clock. I've let it sit for an hour on the clock with no progress. Once I pull the battery, repeat above. It is recognized by my pc btw. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks

I can imagine how frustrating this must be.   Have you taken the phone to a local store to have a technician look atYou may also want to try re-programming the phone, by dialing *228 send and option 1HTH!

Sounds like your OS has crashedYou have a couple different optionsYou can reload it thru desktop manager (you advised your pc recognizes it) or you could do a complete wipe and reinstall (recommended), or if you are not comfortable take it to your local VZW store and ask for help reinstalling your OS

The only OS that works well has not been released by VZW. BB has released it and you will have to remove the Vendor file. The number is 5.0.0.419

I agree, the .419 was about the best release for the 9530.  I never could understand why VZW wouldn't release it.
