New BB9650, now doesn't work!

I purchased a BlackBerry 9560 at the end of July and only used it for 2 weeks. Since then, when it turns on it only shows a white screen. I've tried connecting it to the BlackBerry Desktop Software but it only recognizes the device sometimes. What is wrong with this phone and how do I get it fixed? I live overseas so I can't just take it to a Verizon Wireless store...
