I just bourght my first BB--the Tour, and I'm learning my way around it. So far--IT'S AWESOME. Anyways--here's my question. On my old Verizon phone I could set the tones to "announce" an incoming call either by the callers name (from contact list), or by the number. For instance: "Call from Joe...". That was VERY helpful to me. is there a way to configure the Tour to do this as well? Thanks for the help!
You can do custom ring tones for people in your address book.
Open a contact in your address book then push the blackberry button(menu button). You will see in the list "Custom Ring Tone"
