Non-Discount Storm 9550 Purchase Information

I am a current 9530 user and cannot upgrade until 2010. I contacted Verizon today and spoke with Sam in their financial services office about payment options if I purchased a Storm 9550 at full price. I cannot afford to dish out $550 straight out. I was told that you could make payments on this new purchase with-in a three to four month period with no ill effects on your account. He did say you would have to make your monthly billing (contract) payment but you could extend out the phone purchase payment. I did not know this and just wanted to let others know that might want to purchase this phone and cannot dish out $550 right away.
