I HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS THE **bleep** PHONES ARE CAUSING ME...I REALLY AM CONSIDERING GOING OLD OLD OLD SCHOOL, WITH DIXIE CUPS AND STRING..
SO, I GOT MY TOUR NOT EVEN A WHOLE 3 MONTHS AGO AND POOF, I DELETED (I HEART RADIO:: TAKING WAY TOO LONG TO PLAY SONGS), AFTER IT REBOOTED ITSELF, WITH MY PERMISSION A.......WHITE SCREEN WITH THE WORDS WRITTEN ACROSS "RELOAD SOFTWARE 552" APPEAR..HAA..WHAT A DAY..(I USE MY PHONE FOR WORK) AND IT HAPPEN ON A THURSDAY, SPEAKING TO A VERIZON REP...NO F*IN HELP, WHAT SOO EVER..VERY RUDE, AND SHE TOLD ME THAT I CAN REACH HER 24/7..B.S. BUT THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY..SO I DOWNLOADED BLKBRY DESK MANAGER....AS I WAS TOLD ..and.. RELOAD/BACKUP MY FILES..
NOW HERE IS THE FRUSTRATING PROBLEM...NOTHING IS GOING ON...IT ASKS ME TO PICK A DEVICE FROM THE SCROLL DOWN, I DO, THEN PRESS OK..I DID THAT TOO...AND....JUST LIKE THAT ...IT DISAPPEARS..!!!
SERIOUSLY..AM I THE ONLY ONE WITH PHONE PROBLEMS SINCE I WAS A KID.. MY PREVIOUS PHONE WAS FROM TMO, A SIDEKICK..HAHA, NOW THEY ARE HORRIBLE, AND IM SURE EVERYONE KNOWS THE STORY OF SIDEKICK DATA DISAPPEARING, BEING DELETED, ERASED..HAHA..AND THE STORY GOES ON.....

You might get more help if you calm down and take off the caps lock.
From what I understand, your phone's BB OS is corrupted and you need to reinstall the BB OS. BB Desktop Mgr won't recognize the device -- so you're stuck.
Call back to speak to technical support. Sorry to hear about your previous experience, but there is likely someone else who knows how to help you and can offer you other options since their suggested resolution failed. Contact technical support from a different phone, have yours with you, at 800-922-0204 or *611 from a different VZW mobile.
Also, does anyone know if VZW direct/corporate stores can install the BB OS using their software flash machines? That might be an option, but call ahead to see if this can even be done.
Another thing which I don't understand. You say you pay $15 for insurance on the phone? That can't be right. Check your bill. Insurance with the extended warranty at most for advanced devices is like $7.99 monthly, used to be $5.99. If you have the extended warranty, contact Asurion for Technical Support at 1-888-881-2622. With an extended warranty, Asurion is obligated to replace your phone if they can't fix it provided you pay the deductible.
I couldn't read all of that but I did see "reload software error 552". If you want to call Tech you can or look at this from blackberry.com. Their website has a lot of great info for troubleshooting if you can't call in. I had this happen to me once...followed the steps, 30-40mins later my phone was working. You will lose any personal data so hopefully you backed up recently.
