Can someone please help--- I have a blackberry 8530, it was working fine, then all of the sudden it heated up hotter than a light bulb, drained my battery and when dead. Will not charge, will not turn on. Is the phone done or do i replace the battery? I need help

That sure sounds like some kind of battery and/or internal circuitry failure. I would recommend that you take the phone to a Verizon store and have them replace the battery and test out the new battery and phone while you are in the store.
If only the battery was affected I would say you were very lucky. I hope your phone is not damaged but an electrical "event" such as that usually damages the internal circuitry. Good luck.
