Radio Timed out message

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330, and I am unable to place a call because I receive a message that says "radio is off". When I press "RESTORE CONNECTIONS" I keep on receiving a message that says "radio timed out".

 

What's the deal? It was working fine previously, and I'm not late on any payments so it can't be Verizon suspending my account.
