I have a friend that has bb thru Cincinnati Bell. There are differences between all carriers and I was not aware of this. One of those is when typing a SMS message on other carriers you do not have a character limit. When you have gone over your 160 Character limit it just sends multiple SMS messages instead of stating FIELD FULL. Does anyone know of a way around this with Verizon. Other than sending MMS's. I was hoping there was a download or something out there to override verizons ridiculous limit.

In order to exceed the 160 character limit on any device is to have an EMS (Enhanced Messaging Service). Unfortunately, the Blackberry devices are not capable of having that software embedded into the actual phone.

I just poked around on CrackBerry and they have an app for $1.49 called TextEnder that will do what you want. There were a few others as well. Verizon or AppWorld might have something as well. Good luck.
