My daughter has a blackberry storm, and I know she is instant messaging a lot. Im really worried about preditors. Is there any way for me to see who she is instant messaging form her yahoo account and what she is saying. Ive checked the data ussage on her account and that only shows the text messaging.
Thanks,
Concerned Parent

Unfortunately there is not a way to read what she's saying other than on the device directly.

If she has access to a computer at home, then she has already been using Yahoo messenger, so this isn't any different.

Good afternoon,
I can understand your concerns because I am a parent too. One of the things you can do is Usage Control to regulate when and where she can go. When you log into My Verizon, look to the Quick Links and there is a link to Set Usage Controls. I've never fooled with them and I think there is a small monthly charge to use the controls. I'm not even sure what all can be controlled. Probably the best and first thing you could do is to just simply talk to her. Make her understand how you feel and let her know that you trust her to make good choices. Good luck.
