Storm 2 rebooting

My Storm 2 has started "rebooting" every other day. The buttons become inoperable, a clock appears on the screen and then the Blackberry logo and progress bar appear. Once complete, I have to go into email settings and choose "send book" in order for  email  to function again. Is there a fix for this or should I take it back to the store?

I would not unless you want to try security wipe which in most cases solves problems, if not one try the second should do it?

I am a little confused by the reply. Are you saying not to return to store and try security swipe and if that doesnt work--take it back?

Okay, hey so do you remember when it started to get like this? What apps do you have?

I think we need a sticky at the top of this forum asking posters to list what OS and what apps they have, before we start second guessing their problems?

There is an issue with the batch of batteries that were shipped in the storm 2's, or at least some of them...it seems to fit too loosely and any small shock/drop/shake etc. causes the phone to reboot (battery connection is interrupted)..some people have gotten new batteries from Verizon to solve the issue, some have used their old battery if they had the original storm..I put some tape on one end of the battery, the side opposite of the battery connection to make it fit tighter against connection pins, and it fixed it for me...try tapping your phone lightly on a desk/book and see if it reboots...if it does, try the tape trick/new battery/storm 1 battery, it should solve the problem.

Nice you know I was thinking it was that. Was actually going to say,( when I read reply others having same problem) put a piece of paper under back cover..who would think you had to do that also on storm 2. 9530 better for screen click, and storm 2 works for battery fit and button issues.

Me I would take it back to the VZW store and let them fix or replace it? I assume you have done the *228 option 1 and 2?

Won't stay up long enought.,  Goes from one reboot into another.....   38 re-boots so far.  Think the store is the solution... GO back to the curve.

Leave the battery out for 10 minutes see if that works?

What is the *228 option?

It re activates your phone and re sets the towers to your phone. It may not work because you make it sound like you cannot get even the phone to work because of the re booting?

Everything works after it goes through the reboot and I resend the books. But, it is annoying doing this every day or two.
