Swimming with Storm... contacts lost?
theperfectstorm

I took a dip with my Storm 9530 and needless to say it is wiped out. I purchased a Storm 2 today and have registered it. Is there anyway to retrieve/recover my contacts?

Hi,

Try to dry your device completely.  Perhaps using a blow dryer, you can get it as dry as possible.  Others have stated that placing the device in some rice that the rice will pull any moisture out.  Either way, after it is dry, you can try to connect the device to your PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager and see if you can back up the device.  Then save your contacts in a .csv file type and then reload that file into your new device.  You may not see anything on your old device's screen due to damage, but it might actually go through the backup process.  Let me know if it works if you try it.

The important thing also is that the Battery will get shorted out and not take a recharge so you will need another battery.
