hi i have the blackberry curve 8330 i know its an older model but for the past few weeks i have had a smal black circle with a red arrow going through it in the top right hand corner of my home screen. i have searched through manuals online and the phone itself and havent found anything that can be updated or answered. i have NO IDEA what this circle is!! someone help me??

just this morning next to the circle appeared the number 2 so now whatever it means, there are two of them that need to be fix/dealt with.  if anyone know what this means please let me know! thanks

Good morning.  Most of the time that circle with the number in it means that there is something on your BB that needs updated.  It could be your software, an app, etc.  You just need to try to find it.  If you say that there isn't anything that needs updated, try the good old battery pull.

Thank you for all of your responses.  That is correct, this symbol means there is an application that needs to be updated.  If you select the [Messages] folder, you will see the icon and you will be able to open the message to see what needs to be updated.  Otherwise, you can highlight today's date in the [Messages] folder, select [Menu], select [Delete Prior].  This will delete all messages in this folder, including the update icon notification.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thank you,
