Hi, I have been trying to text and receive texts from a friend in Norway. I know that we can both receive and send international texts because we text a mutual friend in Australia. I checked the participating carriers in Norway. His carrier, Netcom, is on that list. Now I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 and he has a Nokia. I'm not sure of the model. I don't know if that is the problem. As I have seen some things mentioned online.I have Verizon and have contacted customer service, but they haven't been much help. Please let me know of any advice you may have. Thank you.

I'm sorry to learn that you are having some trouble with messaging to/from someone in Norway.
I was able to confirm that sending messages to and from Norway should work at the link below:
International Messaging Norway
I recommend taking the battery out of your device and placing it back on. Once your device powers all the way up, attempt to send another message. If this fails, we will need to check the provisioning on your account. I encourage you to have your friend in Norway contact their provider as well to ensure their provisioning is correctly set.
Our Technical Support team can be reached by calling 1-800-922-0204, option 3. You will want to call from an alternate phone and have your device with you, fully charged when you call.
