If your phone is broken for instance no you cannot view your text messages online. You'll need to view them from the actual phone.
To see the phone numbers that were messaged or phone numbers that messaged the phone you would log into your Verizon account. There is a link that is called Current Usage, click that. Just go to data and view the details. There is only so many months that you can go back though. If you are finding the month not available on your online account, give customer care a call. You cannot actually see the content (what is said in the messages) online. Unless of course you were to get a subpoena.
How do you get a Subpoena?
Each court has its own steps to get a subpoena. You can get a subpoena in person at the court houseor sometimes or by mail. There is a fee. Talk to your court administrator to learn their steps.
Usually, you will need the following information:
- court file number
- names of parties in the case
- name of person requesting subpoena(s) with their phone number
- purpose of the subpoena:
- witness to appear at hearing/trial or deposition with the date and time
- production of documents - a copy of the Notice of Taking Deposition and proof of service on all parties in the case
- name of assigned Judge (if known)
- number of subpoenas you need
- subpoena fee
(if you cannot afford to pay the fee, you may qualify for a fee waiver)

TheGreatOne is absolutely correct. You can not view the actual message online, however you can view the number you text or that text you. You can view current usage(your current bill cycle) or the past 3 months by signing into your My Verizon account and click My Bill.
