Traveling - Do Not want Texts/E-Mails To Be Recv'd

I'll soon be traveling well outside of the coverage provided by Verizon.  I will have my BlackBerry with me.  Ii want to be able to receive calls but want to shut down the functionality of the data plan so I do not get charged for receiving e-mails and texts at the higher, out of coverage rate.  What is the easiest way to do this?

Hi,

Be specific, and tell us which Blackberry you are using and we can step you through the process.  Thanks...and bring us all back a Tshirt from where ever you are going...LOL.

OK - more info:

BlackBerry Curve.

Basically just want the device to serve as a phone only in the event there is an emergency and someone needs to reach us.

Thanks!

Hi,

Go to Manage Connections>Mobile Network Options> Data Services: Off and save.
