Trying to transfer contacts (phone- not email) to a new BB with a new #?

How can you transfer your contacts form one BB to another if the phone number in the new phone is different?

You should be able to do this with Desktop Manager. I'm assuming this is a whole new account? I know you can have different address bok in Backup Assistant so long as the numbers are under the same account.
