Use BB Tour w/Projector?

I read somewhere that an individual used his BB connected to a projector to show a presentation to a group.  Can this be done with the Tour?  Unfortunately, I don't recall where I read this.  I've tried connecting my Tour to my LCD projector using the hot sync cable to no avail.  My Tour flashes and my projector doesn't recognize the input.  Thanks.
