VoLTE may be coming, but it will take years for Verizon to get it enable for their full system

FYI

T-Mobile also has the Passport, in the proper squared corner shape like the Euro model.

Some genius at AT&T asked BB to round the corners on the AT&T model, so hardly any cases are available for the AT&T model.

I upgraded to a Z10 from a Q10 and recently loaded 10.3.1.2726 and then 2744 using the non-destructive Sachesi method.  I could care a less about the new BlackBerry phones now.  The Z10 is amazing with this new OS.  Better battery life, better signal, better interface.  It's like a new phone.  It was good before on 10.2...very solid...now it's fantastic!  Would be nice to see Verizon expand their BlackBerry device offerings, but I'm very happy with the Z10 after loading the 10.3.1 OS update.  It's a shame Verizon isn't pushing it.  They would make a lot of BlackBerry customers extremely happy if they did.  I know loading the OS update on your own isn't for everyone...especially those who are a bit leery of blowing their phones out of the water, but if you do it correctly and back up, you should be good.  I was leery of it at first reading about the earlier releases of the OS.  The last two releases seem to be pretty good though.  Currently running 10.3.1.2744 with no issues.

And I'm on 10.3.2.680 with my Z30. NOTE: If you install any of the 10.3.2.XXXX versions, you can't go back. The os is awesome, but if you want to move back to an earlier os, it's not possible. Be warned...

I'm still waiting for a Passport on Verizon. BlackBerry looks like they're going to survive, maybe even thrive, albeit as a much scaled down entity. Maybe it's safe for Verizon to dip their toe in the Passport water? I bought a Classic to hold me over but it's the Passport that I really want. I may end up trading my Classic for a Z30 in the meantime, just for the larger screen. The physical keyboard that I was soooooo in love with is no longer the be-all/end-all I remembered. But the larger screen size on my iPhone sure is.

IF you look into it more, Blackberry has no plans to make a Verizon or Sprint version.

I agree - the Passport is not coming to Verizon. And with BlackBerry's market share falling again, to 0.4%, I don't see anything that's going to convince Verizon that it's worth it to them to make a commitment to BlackBerry that would get them their own Passport version. And why would Verizon want to go out on a limb with a commitment to BlackBerry for the (literally) handful of us that would like it? Just supporting the Passport would cost Verizon, to say nothing of the millions of devices they would have to order just to get a CDMA Passport made.

Blackberry keeps making stupid mistakes!   The ATT version with rounded corners, and no cases, did not have to happen.  They could have offered ATT a special color or anything else.  But changing the case shape was D. u. m. b.

Blackberry had to be a success with ATT because t-mobile doesn't have the coverage, and they blew it.

If they keep undermining their own devices, they can file Chapter 11 now.....

At this point BlackBerry looks like they're just flinging poo against the wall, hoping something will stick. I remember when Verizon was THE carrier to be with if you were a BlackBerry user. They got ALL the new models and even some exclusives. Although I'm still a BlackBerry lover, I cannot fault Verizon from pulling back from BlackBerry with the platform's almost nonexistent market share. BlackBerry sold just 1.7 million devices WORLD WIDE last quarter. How sad is that??!! Apple sold that many  iPhone 6 models in a weekend! I wish it was different, and that EVERYbody got the Passport, but that's not the world we live in. So I'll make due with my Classic for now and see what happens.
