VZ Access Manager + Windows 7 + BB Storm = Don't play nice.

I have teathering on my account and would like to teather my phone to my Windows 7 laptop, however it doesn't appear to work.

The version of VZAM that I am running is 7.0.14.2(2397a), which the download site suggests is the right version.  My phone should be on V. 5.0 of the BB OS (I'm not exactly sure how to check this though).

When installing VZAM for the first time the software goes through a detecting device faze.  Nearest I can tell, it recognizes that my phone is installed as in the window next to the "Start VPN" and "Disconnect Wi-Fi" buttons it shows my phone as a RIM-9530, which is correct.

When I plug the phone in the little window reacts and acts like I have plugged the phone in then turns up the message "Device not inserted' messge.

When I plug the phone into a Windows XP machine, everything works just fine.

The Windows 7 machine does recognize the Storm and seems to perform all other functions just fine.

Toubleshooting Steps performed:

1. Install Modem Drivers available on BB website

2. Uninstall / reinstall VZAM software

3. Reboot phone

4. Reboot comptuer

5. Installed BB Desktop Manager

6. Tried tethering phone on a different machine (was succcessful)

To check your Storm's OS, go to Options from home screen, click about. It suppose to have v5.0.328 or other OS you have on Storm listed.
