My BB World started to act up today. I called for replacement because I do have insurance. I was asked if the phone got wet or I dropped it or damaged it in any way or if it was lost or stolen. I said no to all. Insurance does not cover my phone then if it just stops working??? Don't answer the questions they ask until you know what is covered. Grrrr

Insurance does cover water damage, stolen phone and any physcial damage. Warranty covers things like if the phone were to malfunction/glitch in it.

It depends on which insurance you have - Verizon offers just the Asurion insurance for accidental stuff or the Total Equipment Coverage which covers accidental and phone defects/issues (see http://support.vzw.com/clc/features/calling_features/equipment_protection.html). The Total Equipment Coverage is a couple of dollars more per month.
