Hi, all,
I was just curious, how many of you are using Verizon's Visual Voice Mail (VVM). I had always used the regular voice mail option until about a week ago. I signed up and switched over to the VVM and love it. It makes it so much easier to check your voice mail. I really like being able to save the voice messages locally on my Tour's SD card for reference in case I need to recheck the message. I think it is a very neat option, especially for Blackberry users. I just wanted your thoughts.

I love it. I downloaded it on a whim about a year ago and figured I'd cancel it after a month but am still using it.

Sadie,
That's what I did. Just on a whim decided to try it and I love it.

I D/L the You Mail which is free almost a year ago and then they offered a You mail Plus free as well. Now I am just running You Mail Plus which has another update this past week to incorporate BerryBuzz. I like never having to call my voice mail at VZW. My voice messages play in my media player on my phone or computer. I would never like to give it up.

Hi,
I saw the You Mail VVM some where, I believe in Crackberry it was advertised or reviewed. Doesn't the free version have little advertisements in it? Just curious.

Doc I have never seen an ad in my Visual Voice mail. i know the Visual voice mail plus doesn't have any ads. Both are free and I believe VZW charges for theirs.

I love this program, or I should say the concept of the program...however, on my Storm2 (9550 model), it has never worked properly. The ONLY thing that disappoints me is the face proximity is not used or "turned on" on the Storm2, therefore, you can only listen to your VMs through the speakerphone. This is OK if you are alone, but at work, on a bus, etc. you want some privacy, but if you put the phone up to your ear, the screen pushes in and it stops your VM from playing. I really thought they would fix this with this last upgrade from a couple days ago, but no, it still does not work; and worst of all Verizon doesn't seem to care! If I paid $3 for this app, no big deal, but $36 a year, and they won't fix it??? I guess I will have to breakdown and delete it and use the YouMail program...it's a shame, because there is so much potential in VVM.

VZW's version of Visual Voicemail is a waste of money. I used YouMail on my Blackberry and Google Voice on my Android. Save yourself the $3 a month - it's not worth it when there's superior free options out there.

yes thats what i use it google voice...its FREE and better than verizon visual voicemail. It comes in text SMS form and where you can listen to voicemails. Please stop feeding verizon all your money on verizon apps.

Hi, all,
I was really not familiar with some many other options for Visual Voice Mail. I will certainly check out the other offerings. I am like you guys when it comes to money...I was born good looking and not rich. Thanks for the tips and I will check out some of the others...
