The volume up button on my BlackBerry Bold 9930 has stopped working all together. I first noticed this when trying to adjust the volume on a phone call, but appears to be affecting other applications - Pandora, Tunein radio, etc. - that utilize the volume controls. A Verizon rep inspected the phone and told me my best bet would be to take the phone to a store specializing in mobile device repairs. I took the phone to UBreakIFix (http://www.ubreakifix.com/) in Chicago and was told that in order to fix the volume key, a new motherboard would be required. Has anyone else encountered the same issue?
