Web browsing internatonally with Bold 9650

I currently have a Bold 9650, and with a Global Email plan while in the UK.

Data works perfectly fine, with the exception of the web browser, which just stalls/does not respond.

Do I need to change any settings in the phone to use the Vodafone UK proxy server or something?

Try troubleshooting your data services as shown on the link below.

That doesn't have to do with my problem. I have data in everything just fine, it's just for browsing the web, it usually stalls until I battery pull, then it works again a little, etc...

Could it have to do with APN settings?

I have provided some information below that may help.

Step 1 – Ensure you are getting a good signal and data connection. You can test a data connection by (sending an email, sending a PIN message, or browsing).

Step 2 – Clear the browsers temporary internet files (clear cache, clear cookies, etc.)

Step 3 – Sent a registration message (if a data signal is present)

-Press Menu

-Select Options

-Select Advanced options

-Select Host Routing Table

-Select Menu

-Select Register Now

Step 4 – Ensure the browser settings are set correctly

-Select browser

-Select menu

-Select options

-Select browser Configuration

-Ensure Browser is set to Internet Browser (unless it has to be Blackberry)

-Select the back arrow

-Select General Properties

-Default browser should also be Internet Browser

Step 5 – Send Service Books

-Press Menu

-Select Setup

-Select Email Settings

-Press Menu

-Select Service Books

-Select Send Service Books

Step 6 – Soft reset (instruction)

-Pull the battery while the phone is powered on.

-Leave the battery out for 2 minutes. ***The two minute time frame is important.

-Place the battery back in
