This may be a silly question but my phone bill keeps getting out of hand, I have an unlimited data plan, I never go over my talking minutes. I think its the texts and M2M stuff I only can text 500 messages but does that 500 only apply to texts or M2M? I am extremely confused could some one please help me?

A way around this is to possibly send the pictures via email or through BBM or some other chat program depending on what the other person receiving the text has for a phone.
Also the hard part is that you cannot neccesarily control what people send to you so you still get charged.

Some plans do not cover the M2M messages which could be texts that contain pictures for example. In this case they charge you for each one, incoming and outgoing. I have been suprised in the past when I see this on a bill and never understood why they just don't combine the different types of texts into a general category. Anything for a buck i guess.

So, to clarify, a M2M (Mobile to Mobile) message when you send a text or picture or video 2 Verizon customers. If you send it to a person who is not on Verizon, Verizon calls that a Text /Picture/etc. message.
If the original poster has a plan which allows 500 messages, per Morgan's chart it should include unlimited M2M. Even if it didn't, when he sent 1 regular Text message and 700 M2M messages, he should only have been billed for 199 messages, not all 700.

There are grandfathered message plans as well as text message packages that could have been migrated from Alltel that allows 500 messages without unlimited messaging. It depends on what message package the customer has. The chart posted is a list of Verizon Wireless' current messaging packages offered.
