Hello... Hello... knock, knock...
is anyone home at Verizon Wireless???
I've just discovered that Verizon's abandoning the BB Z30 via this link
BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com
This leaves me extremely frustrated by this apparent move,
What the hell is going on with Verizon Wireless??? At some level I have to agree with some of the others who have questioned this decision and are now considering abandoning Verizon Wireless for another carrier. I've been a Customer for over 15 years and if this continues, I will consider leaving you in a very painfully public way.
I am NOT happy with you Verizon Wireless. Get with the program and provide your Customers with a wider selection rather than trying to improve your product margins.

Its called poor sales, just like Windows phones.
Good luck at your new carrier.
Blackberry is on the way out as a company. Its listed at the bottom in sales. Why would Verizon carry a non performing device?
Think!

You do know that Verizon will be offering the BlackBerry Classic right?

I read that I believe. I have nothing against the devices.
I urge caution due to the state of the company. But I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time I have been wrong

State of the company? BlackBerry is doing very well right now. With the release of the Passport, soon we will see the Classic. New all touch phone already being tested, just nothing you can read about yet.
BlackBerry is making inroads, please don't spread misinformation about how the company is doing. Thanks.

Why BlackBerry (BBRY) Could Beat Earnings Estimates Again - October 21, 2014 - Zacks.com
BlackBerry Earnings Q2 2015: $11 million loss, better than expected | BGR
BlackBerry Limited (BBRY) Earnings Report Date - NASDAQ.com
Although gaining it also is still in the negative. A far cry from when it was a dominant company on sales.
But it may improve. I also read it sold less devices than windows phones. And who knows if it will recover.
With the government dropping its platform for Apple devices you and others will have to do a wait and see.
Our stock broker does not recommend it. (Merrill Lynch)
No misinformation was given. A loss expectation less than a loss projection is still a loss.

Loss or not, BlackBerry is doing fine. Very disappointed that someone that does not use a BlackBerry phone seems to want to continue to waste our time. All done on this subject. To each his own.

Waste who's time? I don't have to use the device to give an honest opinion on it.
I was in charge of communications services for a government agency for many years as part of my duties. I supplied these devices to many coworkers. I have nothing against the devices.
I simply urge caution. And you alluded to misinformation of which I proved it was not. Information to all to see.
I hope it works out and the company is viable again. But even the government agency I worked at has replaced them with new iphones. Even the president of the United States doesn't use one.
Sorry if you were upset.

The President still uses a BlackBerry, you miss all the posts about him forgetting it and going back to get it?

The z30 is back in force. Even the premium retailers can order it now. And as far as the market is going blackberry is on the rise, apple is on the fall (and quick), and android is holding steady with Samsung holding almost 75% of the smart phone market at last look. Cortana gave windows phones a small boost for about a week, they're still only 2% of the market.

Yeah Apple is falling, they just posted a new record high in iPhone sales equil to Microsofts OS sales.
Record profits in the billions.
That means huge gains not losses.

Unfortunately my friend it is what it is. It can be deflected towards android devices which still hold the top spot.
They do so because many device makers under many names (Samsung, HTC etc)
Apple devices however are still number two, then you have Windows Phones and then Blackberry.
I wouldn't let it bother you.
Someday *if* Blackberry goes kaput, you can purchase another device platform (Android or iOS)

And the article says it will be years before iPhones and Android devices COULD be cleared for use. So... don't see where BB is dead and gone from the upper echelons of government. Wow, some Apple fanboi got his department to get iPhones... waiting for the leaked photos of said government official in 3, 2...

Don't ever believe that years statement. The president as I pointed out in a link is getting a non blackberry. His is approved (not that he needs approval since he runs the government) by the Secret Service.
The US Government is what kept Blackberry in business last time. With declining sales, and I read your other post carriers no longer stocking or pushing sales it is I believe I read looking to European sales.
As I said the links I provided show a loss, a loss smaller than what was projected but a loss.
Apple made record sales and profits equil to Microsoft's in OS sales. Billions in profits. Not losses.
But nice try. Now watch the Blackberry go out of business in 1, 2, 3........

What is that supposed to mean? Seriously, if you want to leave then leave. Leave the theatrics out of it. It's called acting like an adult. By the way Blackberry will be out of business within 2-3 years at best.
