Will the current software version (Lollipop) support wifi calling on the Priv if I upgrade to HD voice?

Nope, no Wi-Fi calling supported by Verizon at this time as far as I can tell.
If in your shoes I would install a free Wi-fi calling app & see how that works for you. I use Talkatone & it works great on stable Wi-fi connections. Sounds MUCH better than VoLTE ever will.
From Verizon's Priv webpage;
"Experience Simultaneous Voice & Data (currently does not support Video Calling or Wi-Fi Calling. These features will be received via a software update as soon as it’s available.)"
