You can NOT use a Passport on Verizon. If, at some later date, Verizon does decide to sell/support the Passport you will still need to buy one directly from Verizon to have it activated on Verizon's network. Passports bought from other carriers or directly from BlackBerry will not work on Verizon.

On the BlackBerry website BB says the Classic will be released in both GSM and CDMA on December17th. While Verizon has not yet confirmed or denied it will offer the Classic its hard to believe they will not. The Passport, on the other hand, is an ATT exclusive and there is no word on how long that agreement will be in force.
